Biography

Born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland, Bríet ventured out to Los Angeles to study at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, known for their highly successful alumni such as Adrien Brody, Paul Rudd and Anne Hathaway. Since graduation Bríet has starred in multiple notable productions in Los Angeles, London and Iceland, which have aired on channels such as Netflix, NBC, CBS, Sky, Amazon Prime and Oxygen, in addition to being shown at several film festivals. 

In the few years since receiving her acting degree, Brie has already starred opposite names such as Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Ashley Johnson and Sullivan Sapleton to name a few, in addition to having worked for some of the world's most established directors.  
Professionally, Brie is known for her guest starring role of the icy 'Vala' in Season 4 of NBC's 'Blindspot', her series regular role as the the villainous 'Astrid' on Amazon Prime's 'Life as a Mermaid', the voice of 'Ingrid' in BAFTA nominated 'Life is Strange 2' as well as her role in 'Comfort', directed by Oscar nominee Stephane Ceretti. She recently finished filming for her leading role on the feature film 'Crossed' starring opposite Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Robert LaSardo and Omar Gooding, releasing late 2020. Brie's latest film credit is the one of 'Ros' in the Netflix/Gary Sanchez Productions' 'Eurovision Song Contest: the Story of Fire Saga'. 

Brie is skilled in both US and UK dialects, having mastered the standard and general American dialect, as well as British RP, amongst others. She has been trained in stage combat, both hand to hand and broadsword fighting by award winning Hollywood fight choreographer Brian Danner. Brie was granted the 3 year 01 Visa for her extraordinary ability in the field of acting, allowing her to travel frequently to Los Angeles for productions.
